The Attitude of Having No Money

People avoid people who always ask them for money. This is a very painful and touchy topic that I'm sure many people can relate to. Most of us have probably been to both sides because it's a cycle. So whether you're on the side of people with no money or on the side of people with money, there's a great lesson to be learned here.

If You Have No Money, Use Creativity
The beauty of having no money, is that it forces you to do things that you would not normally do. I once knew a person who didn't want to work because he doesn't really find the need for money. At first it was okay, and the person spent most of his time online. However, disaster struck and a family member needed to be hospitalized. They had no medical insurance, so they had to pay for the hospital bills in cash.

Naturally, the person was forced to work.

Nobody likes to be forced into a situation such as that and that is why using creativity to create opportunities that provide value are more important than the money itself. Remember, money is just representation of the value that each of us can carry.

The beauty of value is that it can be created out of imagination and necessity.

Imagine yourself back before the television was invented. You probably entertained yourself by reading, listening to the radio or exchanging tidbits with the town gossip.

Luckily men such as John Logie Baird, Philo Farnsworth and Vladimir Zworykin, had the inspiration and creativity to invent something that would entertain people with moving images. Before the television was invented, the people must have thought that they were crazy.

Simple Things
Money is not the point. The point is value and contribution to society. People often forget this fact and instead focus on money itself as the end-all be-all of existence. Unfortunately, these are the values that are often being portrayed in media by hyping the wealth of instant billionaires. Sometimes, the value of their work is downplayed in lieu of the amount of wealth that they have amassed.

Remember, most of these billionaires didn't just create something, most of them created something that was universally useful and beneficial to society at large.

Macgyver and the Beauty of Having No Money
I was young at the time when everybody knew who MacGyver was. He was actually a fictional TV character played by Richard Dean Anderson who was not rich but immensely capable of creating solutions for all sorts of problems through science, skill and technology.

The beauty of MacGyver's theme isn't all about science, skill and technology but with working with what you  already have. More often than not, MacGyver seems to always find himself in the middle of some sort of weird problem that needs to be solved quickly and with the use of everyday things around him.

If You Have No Money Ask Yourself This Question:

What do I have right now that can help inspire or uplift others?

I have met a lot of people who seemed to think that they are helpless or have nothing simply because they have no money. This is a rather unfortunate frame of mind that is pervasive specially nowadays. But if you really think about it, the first thing that you really have is you. You have a life. If you're lucky enough, you also have a complete set of arms, legs, fingers, eyes, brain, feet and other miscellaneous body parts that can be very useful to society.

There are practically an infinite number of possibilities that you can explore to use your body for good and for the benefit of society. Remember, anything that is good for society has value. If there's value, there will be money later on.
